Scissors Pt. 2

It's a matter of timing
          and (perhaps) I cut too early
                    (; I'm just afraid one of us
would start) on that long way ahead(.);
                                                  there are
     too many variables (and) I won't miss until

          I'm
                    gone.


(and I don't know where I'm aiming
     and I've forgotten where I stand

               but "WE'RE STILL TIED AT THE ANKLES!"
     and the scissors are in my hand.)
